Vendor needs to provide network detection and response software
- Seeking an NDR (Network Detection & Response) solution that will enhance the city's security posture. And reduce the risk of a cyber security incident
- NDR tool that can detect network attacks such as vulnerability scans, network protocol poisoning, pass the hash and other active directory attacks, exploit framework attacks such as Metasploit or cobalt strike, C2 communication, etc But actively stop and respond to these attacks without any interaction from IT personnel
- NDR solution must not rely heavily on signature-based detections; instead, use a heuristic-based approach in order to detect “zero-day” or “living off the land” techniques which traditional signature-based tools might not discover
- NDR tool must have the ability to integrate with Office 365 via API and remediate any compromised accounts
- NDR tool must be smart enough to correlate events to reduce the amount of time the city's analyst would need to investigate incidents
- The tool should also be able to integrate with current security products used by the city, such as EDR, Firewalls, Email protection, and VPN solutions.
